Lifestyle + Creativity + Beauty

BoxyCharm is a monthly beauty subscription service that includes 4 to 5 beauty full-sized items (varies from makeup, skincare, fragrance, haircare, and tools) for $21 a month including shipping. There is a slight variation for the items but most products the subscribers receive will be the same. Every Boxycharm box contains products worth over $100.00 in value. BoxyCharm is currently available in both U.S. and Canada.

This month’s theme is Spellbound.

Each box includes a card with all the product details and prices.

Item #1

Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Prosecco Pop – FULL SIZE! VALUE $38.00!

I was so thrilled when I saw the Becca highlighter in the spoilers, BoxyCharm is so generous to include this high-end brand in full size. Prosecco Pop is a warm gold highlighter with a shimmery/glittery finish. The formula is creamy and easy to blend out while applying evenly without any dryness or patchiness. The pigmentation is rich and it can emphasize skin textures when applying too much on the cheekbones. The overall luminosity is fantastic, my face was glowing with a healthy shine.

Item #2

Dirty Little Secrets
Eyeshadow Crayon in Illusion – FULL SIZE! VALUE $14.00!

The swatch on my arms was truly beautiful but it turns out to be a huge disappointment when I actually tried it on my eyelids. Its beauty is just like the name – an “Illusion”! The shade is a champagne with a pink undertone and a shimmery finish. The formula did glide on smoothly, but the color payoff is extremely sheer even when I directly applied the crayon to my eyes. The eyeshadow did not dry down. It transferred and creased immediately, then it further smudged my eyeliner. I tried to use a powder eyeshadow to set the crayon, but that still did not solve the problem.

Item #3

Tarteist™ Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in
Get it! – FULL SIZE! VALUE $20.00!

I got the shade “Get it!”, a warm apricot nude with a matte finish. It has an opaque coverage and lightweight texture. The formula is a bit drying but it is transfer-proof. The application was smooth and even. The lip paint lasted couple hours until I ate some oil food. This color is too pale for my skin tone so I used this only on the center of my lips, and I paired a deeper lip liner (JONTEBLU LIP LINER PENCIL IN 952 NUDE from my October Ipsy Bag)to create these ombre lips for a more volumizing look.

Item #4

The shade 955 SPICE is a neutral brown with a matte finish. It glides on smoothly with rich pigmentation and a long-wearing formula. I also got this as a bonus item from redeeming 500 Ipsy points this month in the shade 952 NUDE.

Item #5

An expensive skincare item! The exfoliator is minty and refreshing with fine particles. It felt more gentle than a lot of exfoliators I have experienced in the past and my skin was not irritated at all. I did like this product and I will keep using it as part of my weekly exfoliating routine.

I used these items for this makeup look:

  • Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Prosecco Pop

  • Tarte Tarteist™ Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in Get it!

  • Dirty Little Secrets Eyeshadow Crayon in Illusion

and a few items from my October Ipsy Bag.

Overall, all 5 items add up to a total value of $135! The value is incredible and I love most of the products especially the Becca highlighter.
